The Micallef Migdalia is named for Migdalia Sánchez — daughter-in-law of Pedro F. Gómez and a third-generation tobacco craftsperson who began her career in Cuba at age 16 and went on to become one of the country's most skilled torcedores. She now works with Micallef and the family's factories in Mexico and Nicaragua. The cigar that bears her name is a tribute to her decades of craft.
The blend pairs a San Andrés Habano wrapper with a Sumatra binder and a long-filler core of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos. The flavor opens with toasted hardwoods and a clean nutmeg note at the front, joined by a custard-like cream that defines the middle third. Sweet caramel emerges in the back half, balanced by the wrapper's quiet pepper character holding the profile grounded.
Migdalia is medium-plus in body, brimming with flavor — a smoke that earns its family-portrait status through layered, expressive craft. Pair it with bourbon, espresso, or a thoughtful late afternoon.
